Kenneth Shubin Stein (born 1969, New York City) is the founder and chairman of Spencer Capital Holdings and founder of Spencer Capital Management, a New York-based hedge fund with a scientific, value-based investment approach. Stein is also co-founder and chairman emeritus of Crutches 4 Kids, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization which provides crutches to children in need around the world, and is co-founder and chairman emeritus of the International Concussion Society, which provides a resource for concussion research. He is an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he has taught Advanced Investment Research since 2009. He is a senior advisor at Osmosis. Stein is also a CFA charterholder. In March 2018, he graduated with a certificate from the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School, and is a member of YPO and chairman emeritus of YPO Manhattan. He serves on the board of directors for both the American Migraine Foundation and the CUNY SPH Foundation.
