William Lacy Clay Jr. (born July 27, 1956) is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative from Missouri's 1st congressional district. After having served in both houses of the Missouri state legislature, Clay represented the district in Congress from 2001 until his 2020 Democratic primary election loss to Cori Bush.
