Safran, QC, L.L.B., L.L.M., (born August 11, 1952), is a partner (business rank) in the Calgary office of DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, a full service legal firm focused upon energy and natural resources, infrastructure, development, transportation, and related corporate/finance areas. She specializes in corporate law, commercial law, IP law, aviation law, and technology law. She acts for national and international corporations, major institutions, and government entities in respect of a wide variety of commercial and corporate transactions, including asset and share (finance) sales, asset leasing, asset-based financings, partnerships, joint ventures, outsourcing transactions, and restructurings. Ms. Safran also advises clients on corporate governance issues, public-private partnership (P3) transactions, and has led significant M&A transactions on national and international levels.
