Leonid A. Gavrilov is a Russian scientist. He is a research associate at the Center on Aging of the National Opinion Research Center in Chicago, in the United States. He specializes in the mathematical modeling of aging and mortality, biodemography and the genetics of aging and longevity. He and his wife Natalia S. Gavrilova have proposed a reliability theory of aging. Gavrilov has written two books, several chapters and numerous scientific papers.
