Ludwig "Lutz" Schütte (23 May 1912 – 13 April 1993) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Ludwig Schütte was captured by Soviet troops in March 1945 in the Heiligenbeil Pocket during the East Prussian Offensive and was held until 1955.
