Lynda Cheryle Lyon Block (February 8, 1948 – May 10, 2002) was an American convicted murderer. Hers was the first execution of a woman in the state of Alabama since 1957. She was the 9th female executed in the U.S. since reinstatement of the death penalty in 1976 and the last individual executed by electrocution who had not been given a choice of lethal injection, as is (as of 2015) the primary protocol in all the states that maintain execution by electrocution.
