Manuel Antonio Carreño Muñoz (June 17, 1812 – September 4, 1874) was a Venezuelan musician, teacher and diplomat. He reached many important goals in the field of diplomacy and teaching during his lifetime. He founded the prestigious Colegio Roscio and translated works like Reasoned, historical and dogmatic Catechism of Abbe Thériou and Introduction to the method to study the Latin language of Jean-Louis Burnouf into Spanish.
