About

edit

Mel Wasserman (1930 – April 29, 2002) was a businessman, entrepreneur and founder of CEDU Education. He was a pioneer in the unaccredited Therapeutic Boarding School industry who used cult doctrines as their philosophical base. His organisations have been riddled with various accusations of sexual exploitation and abuse towards their students. The ceremonial rights of passage, known as profeets, are similar in structure to the rights of passage found in indigenous cultures that transform tribe members into adults.
