Michael Paul Welch (born 8 September 1962) is a performer/producer from Barbados. He was born in Yorkshire, England & moved to the Caribbean when he was 6 years old. Michael has been performing in & out of Barbados for almost three decades.He has worked with quite a few artist both on the stage and in the studio as a producer/writer.After all this time he has finally decided to some solo work and has now released his first solo project "Ready Or Not"(2010). Despite the lack of airplay by the local stations in Barbados on some other projects,it has never hurt his enthusiasm and dedication to what he has done for a lifetime- making music !' "Strange enough, I get more kudos for my work outside of Barbados,...I perform in the tourism sector of the country which is an audience that hardly include locals"..he says. "Its like being on tour but not leaving home, kinda cool" He also feels with the internet,music is not controlled by major labels and radio stations and he already started working on his second solo album. He is married for the past 18 years and has two children from that union.
