Mihajlo Obrenov aka miKKa is a Serbian musician, sound engineer and film director. His main work consists of experimentation with sound and exploration of weird ambient noises. As of 1998, he was a sound engineer and producer for many underground and alternative bands, such as: f.O.F, War Engine, Tamerlan, dreDDup, Odvojena Stvarnost, MRT, CPR, Crna Barbi, Drop Dead, 3D Rošava Pipe, CutNpasTe... His music career as a singer and guitar player started in punk bands Klef and Mind Control in 1996. Since 1997, MiKKa is the leading man behind industrial rock band dreDDup which gained a cult underground following in Serbia and region. From 1998 until 2002, he was a vocalist and guitar player in a hardcore punk band called Mefisto. Mefisto released only one album 'Bili smo ponosni ratnici' and had several concerts in local clubs. In late 2002, Mihajlo begins to study film making at Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, under the worldwide praised Serbian director Vlatko Gilić. He directs his first theater play Footfalls written by Samuel Beckett. In 2003, Mihajlo gathers an experimental jazz project Prozor which performs several concerts in Novi Sad and releases 3 albums. In 2004. he starts to write for online web-zine Helly-Cherry and starts industrial metal project CuTnPasTe which goes on to release 3 albums. In the following year he directs another theater play 'In the small castle' written by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz.
