Milan Mike Trbovic born in Dover, Ohio (June 1, 1912-). Studied violin at the polytechnic school in Paris under Professor Hackert. Moved to Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1936. Fled Yugoslavia by train to Italy in 1961. Worked for Kaigan and Gaines Music Company from 1961 to 1968 . Established own shop in Chicago in 1961. Working in the Los Angeles area c. 1984. Own model, some with three rows of purfling. Oil or spirit varnishes. Has made more than 100 violins, 30 violas, 18 cellos and 22 basses.
