Milorad M. Drachkovitch (8 November 1921 – 16 June 1996) was the posthumous son of Milorad Drašković, Minister of the Interior in the Former Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Drachkovitch was born in Belgrade. During World War II, Drachkovitch fled to escape the communist regime in Yugoslavia and fought with the Resistance against the Nazis. After resuming his studies, he received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland in 1949, followed by a Ph.D. in 1953. From 1955 to 1956 he was a fellow of the Commonwealth Fund and traveled widely.
