Mitchel B. Wallerstein is an American educator, philanthropist, policy expert and former senior official in the federal government of the United States. He is the President Emeritus of Baruch College of the City University of New York and currently appointed as a University Professor at CUNY. Baruch College has approximately 19,000 students and consists of the Zicklin School of Business (the largest collegiate business school in the United States), the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. From 2003 to 2010, Wallerstein served as dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, which is ranked as the nation's leading school of public and international affairs.
