Nathan Phillips, QC (November 7, 1892 – January 7, 1976) was a Canadian politician and popular Mayor of Toronto, Ontario, from 1955 to 1962. A lawyer by training, Phillips was first elected to Toronto City Council in 1926. His accomplishments as a municipal politician are overshadowed today by his controversial and aggressive policies to refashion the city by removing landmark buildings with little consultation.
