Nathan Alvin Pitts (June 29, 1913-Jane 15, 1998) was an African-American Federal Administrator, diplomat, and philanthropist. Pitts retired from the Department of Education in 1980 as Chief of the Division of International Education. He was the first black Education attaché to the permanent US UNESCO delegation, serving from 1970 to 1975.
