Nawab Kapur Singh (1697–1753) is considered one of the major figures in Sikh history, under whose leadership the Sikh community traversed one of its darkest periods. He was the organizer of the Sikh Confederacy and the Dal Khalsa. He is regarded by Sikhs as a leader and general par excellence.
