Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao (born 21st June 1944) and Paruchuri Gopala Krishna (born 10th June 1946), collectively referred to as the Paruchuri Brothers, are a screenwriting duo whose work is predominant as story writers, dialogue writers, actors, directors, poets, playwrights, and novelists in the Indian Telugu film industry. They are noted for being the first screenwriters to achieve star status, becoming the most successful screenwriters of all time who had created a new trend in Telugu film industry with their powerful scripts and punch dialogues, evoking spontaneous applause from the audiences.
