Patrick Ryan (Lacken) (16 November 1898 – 21 January 1944) was an Irish nationalist and politician. He was born in Newport, County Tipperary. As a youth he was radicalized by the reaction of the police. As a young activist he was putting posters up with his friends on the chapel gate in Fourmilewater, County Waterford, when the police told them to remove the materials. A fight broke out.
