Sir Patrick John Thompson Vallance FRS FMedSci FRCP (born 1960) is a British medical doctor. Since March 2018 he has been the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government of the United Kingdom. From 2012 to 2018 he served as president of research and development (R&D) at the multinational pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
