Pedro Rafael Pierluisi Urrutia (born April 26, 1959) is a Puerto Rican attorney, lobbyist, and politician who is the New Progressive Party's nominee for Governor of Puerto Rico in the 2020 elections, defeating incumbent Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced in the primary election. He is going to face the Mayor of Isabela, Charlie Delgado Altieri, Senator Juan Dalmau, Alexandra Lúgaro and Eliezer Molina in the Puerto Rico 2020 general elections on November 3rd. Pierluisi was positioned as de facto governor of Puerto Rico from August 2 to August 7, 2019, when the territory's Supreme Court ruled his assumption of office was unconstitutional.
