Peter Hepplewhite (born 4 June 1954 in Hartlepool) is a North-East based children's author. Most famous for co-writing the Awesome Egyptians in the Horrible Histories series, Peter is an experienced writer of children's history. A former teacher, he went on to become the Education Officer for the Tyne and Wear Archives Service.
