Peter II Alexeyevich (Russian: Пётр II, Пётр Алексеевич, Pyotr Vtoroy, Pyotr Alekseyevich, 23 October [O.S. 12 October] 1715 – 30 January [O.S. 19 January] 1730) reigned as Emperor of Russia from 1727 until 1730, when he died at 14. He was the only son of Tsarevich Alexei Petrovich (son of Peter the Great by his first wife, Eudoxia Lopukhina) and of Charlotte Christine of Brunswick-Lüneburg. He was the last male agnatic member of the House of Romanov.
