Zachary Mwai Mwangi (born December 22, 1995), known as Proud Refuge, is a Kenyan-American Christian hip hop artist, songwriter, record producer and actor. He is the president, co-owner and co-founder of the independent record label GBA Records International, and the founder of the non-profit organization Mountain Movers Club. To date, he has released 2 studio albums an EP as a solo artist, and several singles with countless features from various names in the music industry. He produced much of his earlier material alongside his cousin G.K music. Proud Refuge, in reference to his label as a Christian rapper, has stated that his music is just hip hop/rap, though it reflects his Christian faith and solely inspired by God.
