Brigadier General Ralph T. "Tom" Browning (25 October 1941 – 7 July 2018), was a distinguished United States Air Force command pilot who survived being a prisoner of war (POW) during the Vietnam War, was the Commander of two Air Divisions, and Commander of the 58th Fighter Wing, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. After retirement from the USAF, he became CEO of Greater Phoenix Leadership, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona, a business organization supporting community improvement efforts in the areas of transportation, education and economic development. He passed away due to cancer July 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Here had a memorial service with full military honors with a fly over in Arizona. It was well attended by his family, fellow POW's, people he had worked and served with, and members of various associations and groups he was a part of. The service in Arizona was livestreamed for his 93 year old mother Dollie Browning who was with family in Florida. He was laid to rest, again with full military honors including a fly over by his squadron from Langley, in Arlington Cemetery on September 27, 2019. Many members of his family were able to be in attendance.
