Rama Kant (Born 7 October 1948 in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, India) is the former Head of the Department of General Surgery at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University and has been the former Chief Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals, King George's Medical University. He has been accredited with innovative surgical procedure for the surgical management of chronic empyema thoracis, which has been published internationally as Kant's Modified Open Drainage.
