Rashid Khan (born 2 February 1980) is a Bangladeshi singer, songwriter, painter, poet and businessman. He is a son of a policeman (Inspector General) and a housewife, the middle child of three brothers. Rashid is famous for his Bengali light and easy songs, traditional yet contemporary, using a vast range of different instruments. Stepping out of the common themes and trends in Bengali music, Rashid’s lyrics and tunes make his listeners re-examine their time, feelings and dreams. However, his first public creative outlet was painting, starting when he was in class 8. He later channeled his creativity to the corporate world, setting up a creative solutions provider in 2005, named Creato.
