Renate Franz (18 November 1954) is a German cycling writer and journalist. She was born in Solingen and was educated at the University of Cologne. She is most famous for her 1998 book about German cyclist Albert Richter who won the world sprint championship 1932 and was arrested and by the Gestapo.
