Richard L. Huganir (born March 25, 1953) is a Professor and Director of the Solomon H. Snyder Department of Neuroscience, Director of the Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute and co-director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Brain Science Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, as well as an Investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He has joint appointments in the Department of Biological Chemistry and the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences. Huganir is also a member of the Cure Alzheimer's Fund's Research Consortium.
