Ronny Rieken (born 12 February 1968) is a German child murderer and serial killer. In 1996 and 1998, he killed two girls in the area surrounding Cloppenburg, northern Germany. Rieken was the first German criminal to be caught as a result of mass DNA screening. In 1998, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, which he is serving at Justizvollzugsanstalt Celle.
