Samia Hassan Suluhu (born 27 January 1960) is a Tanzanian CCM politician. She became Tanzania's first-ever female Vice-President after she was announced Vice-President of Tanzania in the 2015 General Elections, alongside John Magufuli the President.. Before being a vice-president she served as the Member of Parliament for Makunduchi constituency from 2010 to 2015 and has been Minister of State in the Vice-President's Office for Union Affairs since 2010.
