John E. "Scrappy" Carroll (August 27, 1860 – November 14, 1942) was an outfielder in Major League Baseball. He played for the St. Paul White Caps, Buffalo Bisons, and Cleveland Blues during the 1880s. Carroll stood 5 feet 7 inches (1.70 m).
