Sergejs Pozņakovs

Sergejs Pozņakovs (born December 31, 1993 in Riga) is a Latvian artistic gymnast. When he was 5 years old he became engaged with gymnastics. In beginning of his sport career, results were not too high, but in 2003 Sergejs became progressive. In 2007 Sergejs took first place in Germany in 22nd GWG CUP artistic gymnastics juniors in Vault. One year later Sergejs participated in 2008 European Championships in Laussane as a Junior. Unfortunately, he was not successful that year. In 2009, was a participant in EYOF 2009 Tampere Finland. Sergejs Pozņakovs is a master of sports, who has participated in more than 30 international sport competitions. Moreover, he has won a lot of championships in Latvia. Nowadays, Sergejs is one of the most successful and perspective gymnasts in Latvia. In 2012 was a participant in Latvijas III Olimpiade, Sergejs took three first places in floor exercise, rings, pommel horse event final.
