Sharina Shahbazi (1974) is an Iranian-born German artist. She studied photography at the Fachhochschule Dortmund in Germany and Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Zürich in Zurich. Shahbazi lives and works in Zurich. Shahbazi's work was exhibited the Centre d’Art Contemporain, Geneva, Switzerland; Barbican Art Gallery, London; the Swiss Institute New York, New York; the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, the Netherlands; and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles and the New Museum. Shahbazi's work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau; Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Vaduz, Principality of Liechtenstein; Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; Fotomuseum Winterthur, Winterthur; Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem; Huis Marseille, Stichting voor fotografie, Amsterdam; Kunstmuseum Thun, Thun; Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zurich; MUSAC, León; Tate Modern, London; The National Museum of Photography, Copenhagen.
