The shooting of Jeremy Mardis (/ˈmɑrdis/) (mar-dees), a six-year-old boy, occurred on November3, 2015, in Marksville, Louisiana. Mardis was killed and his father, Chris Few, was wounded during the shooting. Two Marksville law enforcement officers, Derrick Stafford and Norris GreenhouseJr., were arrested on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder as a result of the incident. The use of a body-worn video camera was cited as leading to the speed of the arrests.
