Stephen William Borthwick (born 12 October 1979) is a former English rugby union footballer who played lock for Bath and Saracens. At International level, he represented the senior England rugby union team between 2001 and 2010 and captained them between 2008 and 2010. He was appointed the England forwards coach in December 2015; a role which he leaves after the 2020 Six Nations Championship to become head coach of Leicester Tigers.
