Tatineni Prakash Rao (24 November 1924 – 1 July 1992) was an Indian filmmaker. He made a number films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. His first film was Palletooru (1952). He was assistant director in Shavukar and later directed Pitchi Pullaiah, Jayam Manade starring N. T. Rama Rao. He worked with both N.T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao in films Charana Daasi and Parivartana (1954). His Hindi films like Suraj and Izzat remain popular. His Tamil film with M. G. Ramachandran was Padagotti which is considered as classic. He directed Gemini Ganesan in Nalla Theerpu, Ellorum Innattu Mannar and Kathirundha Kangal.
