Thomas Carmichael Hindman Jr. (January 28, 1828 – September 27, 1868) was a lawyer, politician, and a senior officer of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. He was responsible for planning and supervising the unsuccessful defense of northwestern Arkansas during the fall and winter of 1862.
