Thomas Edward Hughes (September 13, 1934 – November 2, 2019) was an American professional baseball player who appeared in two games for the 1959 St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. Born in Ancón, Panama Canal Zone, the son of a police official working in the then-American-controlled Canal Zone territory, Hughes was a right-handed pitcher who batted left-handed and was listed as 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and 180 pounds (82 kg). He signed with the Cardinals in 1954.
