Tony K. Atwater, Ph.D., was president of Indiana University of Pennsylvania ( IUP) from 2005-2010. IUP is the largest member university of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. On June 30, 2010, Atwater left the IUP presidency. His departure occurred six months after a faculty vote of No Confidence based on allegations of questionable spending and an "imperialistic leadership style." On July 1, 2011, he will become president of Norfolk State University.
