Uwe Schummer (born 14 November 1957 in Adelaide, Australia) is a German politician of the (CDU) from Willich. Schummer has been a member of the Bundestag since 2002. Since 2014 he has been Commissioner of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group for people with disabilities. He is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment, where he served as chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group from 2009 to 2014.
