Vaden Burns Hargis (born October 29, 1945) is the current President of the Oklahoma State University. He was named as OSU's 18th President in December 2007 and took office March 10, 2008. He succeeded David Schmidly, who had resigned from OSU to become president of the University of New Mexico. Hargis holds degrees in accounting from Oklahoma State University and in law from University of Oklahoma.
