Tun Thirunyanasambanthan s/o Veerasamy SSM PMN (Tamil: திருஞானசம்பந்தன், Tiruñāṉacampantaṉ; 16 June 1919–18 May 1979) also known as V.T. Sambanthan, was the fifth President of Malaysian Indian Congress and one of the Founding Fathers of Malaysia along with Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tan Cheng Lock. He was the MIC President from 1955 to 1973, when he was ousted by party members.
