Vera Hingorani is an Indian gynaecologist, obstetrician, medical writer and the former professor and head of the department of gynaecology and obstetrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. She is a former honorary gynaecologist and obstetrician to Indira Gandhi, deceased Indian prime minister, and Pratibha Patil, the former president of India. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest Indian civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1984.
