Vladimir Alekseevich Ivanov (Влади́мир Алексе́евич Ивано́в, also Wladimir Ivanow; November 3, 1886- June 19, 1970) was a Russian orientalist. He was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and died in Tehran, Iran. His work on Ismailism has opened new doors for the modern researchers on Islam. He is often considered the father of modern Ismailism studies. He graduated in 1907 and joined the faculty of Oriental Languages of the University of St. Petersburg.
