Captain Walter Howard Cooke (July 21, 1838 to January 28, 1909) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Cooke received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action at Bull Run in Virginia on 21 July 1861. He was honored with the award on 19 May 1887.
