Wang Tao (November 10, 1828 – May 24, 1897; Chinese: 王韜; pinyin: Wáng Tāo; Wade–Giles: Wang T'ao) was a Chinese translator, reformer, political columnist, newspaper publisher and fiction writer of the Qing dynasty. He was born Wang Libin in Puli Town in Suzhou prefecture.
