William Anthony (born September 25, 1934) is an American painter and illustrator born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey in 1934. He attended Yale University, getting his undergraduate degree in history and serving as a senior editor for campus humor magazine The Yale Record. While attending Yale, he took a series of art classes, including one taught by Josef Albers. In 1958 and 1961 he attended the Art Students League of New York.
