William Cook aka William Whalley (16 January 1881 – 18 December 1947) was an English cricketer active from 1905 to 1907 who played for Lancashire. He was born in Preston and died in Burnley. He appeared in 11 first-class matches as a batsman with unknown handedness who bowled right arm fast medium pace. He scored 307 runs with a highest score of 46 and held four catches. He took 51 wickets with a best analysis of seven for 64. He changed his name from William Whalley c.1902.
