William de Warenne, 1st Earl of Surrey, Seigneur de Varennes (Bellencombre, Seine-Maritime, France, 1055 – Lewes, Sussex, 24 May or 24 June 1088) is one of the very few proven Companions of William the Conqueror known to have fought at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Subsequently he became a great landowner in England.
