Yrjö Olavi Samuli Kokko (16 October 1903 in Sortavala – 6 September 1977 in Helsinki) was a Finnish veterinarian and writer. He was married to dentist Aune Ilus. He is most notable for his fairy tale Pessi and Illusia and initiating conservation work for whooper swan in Finland. In the 1950s he became upset, because new time and new lifestyle came to Lapland. He was awarded with Pro Finlandia medal in 1956.
